Chemoport Insertion for Cancer Chemotherapy
|It is a special device placed in neck, under the skin of patients requiring cancer chemotherapy.
The characteristic feature of chemoport is that it remains below skin.
|Cancer chemotherapy drugs are very irritable for body. If given by regular iv cannula in hand,it can induce serious reaction/swelling/blockage in veins. Moreover you need a fresh line every time if you don’t have chemoport.
